Who We Are

Officially, Area 51 Precious Metals is a veteran-owned, family-operated dealer in silver bullion, copper rounds, and collectible coins, run from a small ranch just outside Rachel, Nevada — down the road from the Little A'Le'Inn.

Unofficially, we're the shop currently housing an alien who escaped a government facility and decided the best use of his newfound freedom was hanging out with silver stackers on Sunday nights. Frank showed up first, and the business grew around him.

What hasn't changed: every coin here comes from a real collector who cares about it. We personally inspect, photograph, and pack every piece – no stock photos, no misleading descriptions, no filler copy from a probe-happy marketing department. Just honest products, backed by real service, from a family business that happens to have an orange alien as its unofficial mascot and full-time hype man.

We've grown through our online store, live Whatnot shows, and the occasional escaped-alien origin story – and we're still not the biggest bullion dealer out there. That's on purpose: staying small means we pay attention to every order, every customer, and every detail the big sites skip past.
